This blog is about my life with my TiVo, granted sometimes it gets a little off topic. Especially when all my favorite shows are in re-runs, please however don't be mistaken, this is not a blog about the technology of TiVo, this a blog about enjoying my TiVo.

The next generation of TiVo watchers. This is my nephew Max. He was hanging out watching some Little People or Elmo or Thomas, you know all the hits. My sister was staying with my folks for a while and she came to be a TiVo convert. In Chicago, they had no cable, now they are signing up. She loved having the season pass to record their shows, while she was watching hers and vice versa. Yes, TiVo it's great for all ages. Spread the word.

At my sisters request I have started TiVoing Hustle. It's a great scam show. I am looking forward to enjoying many many more episodes.
I am also a big fan of "Little People in a Big World" on TLC. They had a marathon on this weekend. It's now been added to the line-up.
Grey's Anatomy was a re-run but it was a good one, enough to make me cry again. What a good show?

Thank God for a new episode of Lost. I am very thankful. I couldn't take anymore repeats. First off let's talk about what has to stop: this feud between Charlie & Locke. I am bored with it. I also don't get why Sawyer is just sitting pretty with all the guns and the medicine and no one has tried to get them back. And on top of that... it's like hello what happened Michael & Walt, did they get voted off the island? We need some kind of closure or at least string us a long a little to let us know that eventually there will be closure.
On a side note that has nothing to do with my endless television consumption, which I may need to enter some kind of program for eventually when I am ready to first accept that it may be a problem, I am reading A Million Little Pieces, despite it's ficitonal nature, I can't seem to put the book down. I am just wondering if I will feel the same about My Friend Leonard.

It's me and America's Next Top Model of course provided by TiVo. We never watch anything as it runs, because why waste your time with commercials. The big question is, will tonight's episode be fierce enought? Fierce my favorite word courtesy of Tyra Banks. Since incorporating this ANTM in the TiVo line-up, I have enjoyed every "fierce" minute. I really never thought that fierce was an adjective that should be used with anything but a lion, but now I try to incorporate fierce in everyday lilfe. So I am off to have a "fierce" night with TiVo.
Fiercely Yours,
Mrs. Holladay

TiVo and I have made up. Today we watched Nashville Star: I got sucked in by a promo and an episode of Law and Order. But we have decided to forget Sunday and move on. It just better not fall me for my date with Tyra & ANTM. I think I may need to invest in a life, but until then its me, TiVo and Bruce (my husband.)

So last night, i am confident that TiVo is taking care of me and I am going about my business. Only to find out 30 minutes too late that somehow TiVo decided to record South Park instead of Grey's Anatomy. I don't know how it got moved up on the Season Pass Manager list. It's disappointing when you rely on TiVo only to have it let you down. I know these instances are few and far between, but still equally as disappointing.

I am reading all this talk about the new direction of TiVo, with no lifetime subscriptions and price increases. I have had other DVRs and nothing is as good as TiVo. TiVo is fun, user friendly reliable. Now I am worried , that going in the direction of more expensive service, it's not going to hold up to the other DVRs. If TiVo needs me on their ad campaign, I have lots of great ideas. Come on TiVo execs call me...
On another note here is a Public Service Announcment: Back up your computers, especially your laptops.. last night I lost everything. Ok, I did back it up was three months ago and a lot happens in three months. I feel like I have lost everything.

What I Record on Tivo
We have dual tuner Tivo with our DirecTV system. DirecTV tried to give us their version but we weren't having it, dvr does not equal Tivo. Here is a list of what I record, but it is constantly expanding.

Grey's Anatomy (ABC)
Lost (ABC)
Injustice (ABC)
The Office (NBC)
My Name is Earl (NBC)
The Tonight Show (NBC)
David Letterman (CBS)
Family Guy (Fox)
America's Next Top Model (WB)
Project Runway (Bravo)
South Park (Commedy Central)
The Daily Show (Commedy Central)
Law & Order (TNT)
Rollergirls (A&E)
Intervention (A&E)
Sell This House (A&E)Flip This Housse (A&E)
Flip That House (TLC)
The Glaunlet II (MTV)
Made (MTV)
Previously Recorded & Reason
Alias (ABC) I had to call it quits when they killed Vaughn
CSI - Original (CBS) sick of all the re-runs, however I am thinking I miss this show a little
CSI - New York (CBS) didn't like this show
Amazing Race (CBS) - Before I had dual tuners this conflicted with other shows that won out
True Life (MTV) Too Many reruns
Thinking about Adding
24 - I am going to start recording 24, however, I won't watch it until I have the complete first season recorded, because I made the mistake of tuning into a show at the end of season two and I was lost, but last night I watched the first show of season one on my parent's Tivo and I think I would like the show.
Black White - FX
Any suggestions? I'd love to hear them. God Bless Tivo.

I have only been married for a year and a half, but I already have a very passionate ongoing affair in my life: with my Tivo. It's something my husband likes to joke about, but its true. Tivo always thinks about me when I am gone, never forgets what I want. Tivo is at the top of my list, the ironic thing is I didn't even think I wanted one. My husband loves technology and always wants the latest and greatest. So when Tivo came up, I rolled my eyes like why in the world do we need that. Now I don't know what I would do without it. I love my husband, but when it comes to choosing between him and Tivo, the decision would be difficult.
