The first step to any addiction is admitting you have an addiction.

So I admit - I am addicted to Bejeweled - again.

This can all be blamed on my boss - Cathy. She told me that I should try the bejeweled on Facebook. Why? Well unlike the endless bejeweled this is only a 1 minute game. So that's where I fall into the trap - because it's only one minute game.

7:36
Like right now I am going to stop blogging and play "just one game."

7:37
And I did just play one - but my score was a poor 21K - and in my addiction I was able to get a score of 250K which means I can't be satisfied. So I am back to play another game.

7:38
Another game.

7:39
Now I am at 31K and that's not good enough.

7:59
Just realized that I am still playing.

So clearly I am addicted.

It's 8:02 and now I am off to plug in my computer and ok I admit play some more.

New Addiction

So I have fallen in love with the clementine. Yes, it's the small orange/tangerine like fruit that is easy to peel and fabulous to eat. I make special trips to the store for them. I always end up eating a few of them on the way home - in fact tonight I ate three. They are small and delicious - so I can't just eat one. But it's fruit so it has to be good for you - ok maybe eating five isn't great for you - but I just said good. I don't remember this fruit as a child - is it a hybrid like the grapple? Whatever it is, I will continue to buy and eat them at mass quantities.

12 Step Program
Needed For Addiction

So I have a problem, I guess that is the first step admitting there is a problem. That problem is called Bejeweled. As described by one website: "Ooh shiny! Link strings of gems in this puzzle game that's simple to learn but tough to master." Well I use to play it online then I managed somehow to quit. I think because summer came or something to that affect. However, Bruce got me the game for Christmas. So now I have "BEJEWELED 2" anytime I want it, and it turns out, I WANT IT ALL THE TIME. I play it while watching TiVo, I play before bed, when I get home from work, well you get the picture. I am not sure if it is the colors, the shininess of the gems or just the mind numbing addictiveness of the game, but whatever it is I am hooked. I sit down and the next thing I know two hours has disappeared. I try to tell myself, this time I will play just one or two games, but you can't. So it looks like I am going to have to give it up, cold turkey... but not until I finish this one game.
